Biography:
Sports and athletics are the fibers that have formed me into the coach that I am today. From a very young age I loved all things involving the ability to physically express myself in a competitive arena. That love of game propelled me into competitive high school sports, where I landed on basketball, my first love. Sports allowed me to remain healthy throughout high school however as I entered my early 20’s the demands of being an adult slowed down my playing time and I made the unconscious decision to sacrifice my health and fitness for a sedentary lifestyle. Thought the next few years I would make attempts to regain health by joining a globo gym, but never finding my place that would soon fade away.I first walked into a CrossFit box at the request of my wife. I was reluctant as I was at my heaviest and did not see the value in a “group fitness” scene. As the coached walked around and began the instructions and I began to engage I could feel something happening. I went home that night and decided I would try this out for a week. After my second class I was hooked and began asking how often I could come in and what I could work on. In my first year of CrossFit I lost 50 lbs transforming from an unhealthy, unhappy person to a stronger better version of myself. I began to see the potential for that athlete I once knew to remerge from the layers of neglect.CrossFit came into my life when I was at the lowest physically and consequently emotionally. After my first workout I was hooked on the philosophy that we can control our health by taking care of our bodies. I began to revel in the balance of accomplishment and potential. By applying the principles of CrossFit to everyday life, I transformed myself. I believe CrossFit is sustainable for anyone who is ready and willing for transformation themselves.
Training is a not only my career, it is my passion! I hold with high esteem my athletes and their trust they instill in me by allowing me to be a part of their story. Recognizing there is not a “one size fits all” approach to training I will work with you to identify your “why” and apply the right method to motivate you based on what works best for you. I find great fulfillment in the opportunity to help others realize they had the potential to reach their goals all along. My passion is ignited when I watch my athletes reach a goals that initially they thought were unattainable.
