Verdant’s 12-hour challenge is one of our favorite events of the year. Each year, the challenge shifts, but the core idea remains the same: you can accomplish much more than you think you’re capable of.
The 12-hour challenge generally begins in the evening and finishes in the morning of the next day. Through the twelve hours, participants are then given work to do. The format, condition, amount, and speed of that work varies each year and then again by each participant’s ability. As a participant, you can look forward to learning invaluable lessons about mental and physical fortitude, camaraderie, emotional regulation, and intrinsic motivation.
After 12 hours, you’ll come out the other side with a new understanding of yourself, a stronger bond with your fellow participants, and an amplified appreciation for the saying “you can do hard things.”
