Daniel Holst hails from Ventura California. He began attending Boise State University in the fall of 2017 and will be graduating in the fall of 2021. He is currently pursuing a BS in Kinesiology with plans of attending a Doctor of Physical Therapy program when he graduates. Dan is 6’7″ and is the tallest person at Verdant.
Dan played basketball and ran track throughout high school. He competed in 110m hurdles, high jump, long jump, and triple jump. He walked onto the BSU basketball team his freshman year and played small forward for 1 year. After stepping away from basketball he found CrossFit in 2018. He was looking for a place to still be competitive and wanted to find the camaraderie he was used to in team sports. After a few months of being a member Dan fell in love with the community and lifestyle at Verdant. Dan took the L1 seminar in 2019 and has quickly become one of our best coaches. He has a great eye for seeing movements faults and has learned quickly how to correct those issues. When Dan is not at the gym he loves spending time outdoors hiking, snowboarding, and surfing (in CA).
