At Verdant CrossFit we want to set up all our new members for success. If you are someone who wants to do CrossFit we have a Foundation curriculum that we’ve used for years to introduce you to CrossFit. For our CrossFit Lite members we do not require Foundation classes.

How to Start CrossFit

Anyone who is new to CrossFit here or anywhere else needs to go through an On-Ramp process. We know that some folks would like to try out a class, so we do provide a free trial class. After that initial, free trial class we move our new students into our On-Ramp Program.

At Verdant CrossFit we strive to move with virtuosity. That means doing the common uncommonly well. The best place to learn new skills and hone your abilities is in a one-on-one setting. There are five On-Ramp classes and each one builds on the last. As a previous high school teacher and university instructor I have a lot of experience building effective curriculums.

Our On-Ramp classes are done one-on-one with a coach. Each On-Ramp session is set up to flow just like our classes do. Each day starts off with a general warm up, then there is a specific warm up that involves more moving and stretching. Next, you will learn the skills for the day. This portion constitutes the bulk of the hour. After you feel confident in the new movements we cap the day off with a little workout.

VERDANT CROSSFIT LITE

How to start CrossFit Lite

CrossFit Lite is designed to be for anyone who is completely new to working out or who is coming back to working out after giving birth or after a long fitness hiatus. The workouts don’t have Rx (prescribed) weights and the workouts are developed separately from our CrossFit curriculum. Just like CrossFit we highly encourage anyone interested to come and try a free, trial period. We do not require On-Ramp classes for CrossFit Lite, BUT we do encourage anyone interested to do our On-Ramp classes.

Starting is as simple as looking at our schedule, emailing us to let us know you’re coming, and then coming for a free week to get a feel for our program, coaches, and gym setting.

Verdant
PROGRAMS

CrossFit

Functional movements at high intensity combining gymnastics, weightlifting, running, rowing and more. Requires previous experience in CrossFit or completion of Verdant|On Ramps.

CrossFit Lite

Verdant CrossFit is in many ways designed for people who are new to fitness or who have taken a long break and need to ease their way into working out and lifting weights.

Barbell Club

There are a few ways to begin at Verdant Barbell Club. If you’re new to Olympic Lifting and you’re interested in starting for the first time, our Barbell Development Program (BDP) is right for you.

Teen Strength and Conditioning

Strength and Conditioning for teenagers and pre-teens. We have worked with Boise High Boy’s and Girl’s Lacrosse Teams as well as local soccer teams. We teach basic lifts as well as complex lifts as our students progress.

Nutrition

We offer gym wide nutrition challenges and publish them through our website. Those challenges are free for all our members. We work with Precision Nutrition and offer PN to our current members.

Personal Training

If group classes aren’t for you or you’re looking for more one-on-one time, then this is the option for you. Our experienced and certified personal trainers will work with you to get you the results you’ve been looking for.

CROSSFIT RATES

If you’re new to CrossFit we offer four separate on-boarding classes which all build on each other. These classes prepare you for all the major movements and warm ups that you’ll often see in our CrossFit classes. We schedule these sessions at YOUR CONVENIENCE and after the session is over, we will provide you with a video of your movement with commentary. That way you can see yourself and you can remember the cues that we are giving you so you can be SUCCESSFUL!

At Verdant Fit we know that we can help you achieve your goals through three foundations: fitness, nutrition, and accountability. Through CrossFit Lite, our goal is to give you group-based, high-intensity interval training, an unbelievable nutrition platform that you can access on your mobile device anywhere in the world and a forum that will keep you accountable to your own goals.

BARBELL CLUB RATES

There are a few ways to begin at Verdant Barbell Club. If you’re new to Olympic Lifting and you’re interested in starting for the first time, our Barbell Development Program (BDP) is right for you. BDP 101 meets twice a week for 5-6 weeks and the classes are capped at 6 people. Once you’ve graduated 101, the 102 course is the next step. If you’re a current weightlifter, either self-taught or coming from another barbell club, you are typically welcome to jump into our Verdant Barbell Club (VBC). VBC meets three times a week and is home to the 2016 and 2017 Idaho state champions.
