How to Start CrossFit
Anyone who is new to CrossFit here or anywhere else needs to go through an On-Ramp process. We know that some folks would like to try out a class, so we do provide a free trial class. After that initial, free trial class we move our new students into our On-Ramp Program.
At Verdant CrossFit we strive to move with virtuosity. That means doing the common uncommonly well. The best place to learn new skills and hone your abilities is in a one-on-one setting. There are five On-Ramp classes and each one builds on the last. As a previous high school teacher and university instructor I have a lot of experience building effective curriculums.
Our On-Ramp classes are done one-on-one with a coach. Each On-Ramp session is set up to flow just like our classes do. Each day starts off with a general warm up, then there is a specific warm up that involves more moving and stretching. Next, you will learn the skills for the day. This portion constitutes the bulk of the hour. After you feel confident in the new movements we cap the day off with a little workout.

How to Start CrossFit Lite
CrossFit Lite is designed to be for anyone who is completely new to working out or who is coming back to working out after giving birth or after a long fitness hiatus. The workouts don’t have Rx (prescribed) weights and the workouts are developed separately from our CrossFit curriculum. Just like CrossFit we highly encourage anyone interested to come and try a free, trial period. We do not require On-Ramp classes for CrossFit Lite, BUT we do encourage anyone interested to do our On-Ramp classes.
Starting is as simple as looking at our schedule, emailing us to let us know you’re coming, and then coming for a free week to get a feel for our program, coaches, and gym setting.
