Isaac moved to Boise from Alaska in 2015 with the goal for competing and coaching. Shortly after moving, he started coaching at Verdant CrossFit. In addition to winning various local USAW meets, he qualified for the American Open Championship. He was the 2016 Idaho State champion in the 85kg weight class and held the Idaho state record for the snatch and the clean and jerk.

In 2017, Isaac joined the United States Air Force and served 6 years with a deployment overseas in 2020. While serving, Isaac continued to progress in CrossFit and coaching. IN 2018, Isaac completed his CrossFit Level-2 certificate and started coaching in a more full-time role at Verdant.

In 2021, Isaac became a full-time employee and merchandise manager. Isaac also started the Verdant CrossFit Kids program in 2021 shortly after becoming a CrossFit Kids coach.
